Fact-Checking Policy
Every factual claim on this site is checked against at least one recorded source before publication, logged in our source registry with organization, title, access date, and reliability tier.
Our confidence labels
| Label | Meaning |

| Verified fact | Confirmed by a reliable source, generally cross-checked against a second source where possible. |
| Traveler guidance | Editorial advice based on verified context, not a standalone factual claim. |
| Estimate | An approximate value, with methodology and source noted, used when precise figures conflict or aren't available. |
| Unverified | Could not be confirmed from a reliable source — omitted from published claims, sometimes noted explicitly as unconfirmed. |
How we handle conflicting sources
When credible sources disagree — for example, on the airport's exact distance from Alexandria, or its terminal throughput — we disclose the conflict rather than silently choosing one figure. See our Alexandria route guide and terminal & facilities page for examples of this in practice.
What we deliberately omit
We do not publish invented terminal numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, prices, driving durations, airline routes, operating hours, baggage rules, visa rules, or accessibility details. Where we could not verify these from a reliable source, we say so and point travelers to the airline or an official authority instead. Source reliability tiers
- Tier 1: Official civil aviation authorities, airport operator sources, official airline sites, official tourism sources.
- Tier 2: Recognized aviation databases, flight-tracking platforms, major travel and aviation press.
- Tier 3: Travel directories and secondary aggregators, used only to cross-check, never as a sole citation for a published fact.
